Edgar

This is Edgar. Knitted using a garter carriage on the Brother 940 using my own design. The wool is a standard 4 ply wool. The colour is called Willow. I would say it is Taupe. This has ended up smaller than I had intended. I put it in the machine on a 30c 15min wash and it shrank!!!! A lot! And unlike Cashmere, this shrank width wise by about 5 cm (2.5"), as well as upwards by about 8cm (just over 3"). It does fit me well. I really am smaller than I thought!

Crew neck using short rows.

Set in sleeves using 'half raglan' style.

Mattress stitch used to seam.

3 x3 ribbing

That's lovely - it looks like it drapes nicely, and the diamond pattern's really nice. Is machine knitting hard to learn?

If this were Ravelry, I'd be clicking your Love button.

i didn't mean that to sound dirty, but you know what I mean I hope.

Wow - I'm so so glad it fits you! You probably still overestimate your size (wish I did that, LOL)
It's just beautiful!

I'm laughing at BammerKT's comment! Can you imagine someone who isn't familiar with Ravelry reading that? Too funny. Love the sweater, Colin. I'd click it, too!

Lovely jumper Colin, you are really skilfull and talented with your machine. I am quite unable to use mine and is obliged to hand knit all what I knit.... (though I had bought a wonderful machine !).

however, washing that gorgeous sweater is not so funny. thank heavens it turned out ok. you do the most wonderful knitting of sweaters i have ever seen.

What a gorgeous sweater - post a pic of it on you- The finishing is so well done - wear it proudly -BTW maybe you should remeasure yourself if it still fit after shrinking to much it would have been baggy without the shrinkage- Your knitting fairy godmother must have been sitting on the washing machine when you washed it!!!

The sweater is still gorgeous Colin. Absolutely beautiful stitch patterns and definition.

Another exquisite design & workmanship detail - WOW. So glad it fits you well after shrinking - a bit scary at first, I'll bet. Best wishes, Nancy

What a pleasant surprise! that the sweater fit you better than it
would have if you hadn't treated it as you did. Also - it really did
turn out well.

I've got to get my g-carriage out and put it to work - I do love the
knit stitch patterns that it does.
