HOUSEWORK

I don't do it. Never have done it. I hate it. You do it, and it needs doing again. Don't do it and you don't have to not do it again. Not doing it just once is enough. I like that.

Now that I am crippled, no one asks why I don't nor comments on it. I like that. Ssee, there is a silver lining to every cloud.

I DO keep my dogs clean and tidy. And myself. So my house does not smell. It's just not tidy. If you are a neat freak or don't like dogs, you aint welcome.

Oh and I grew up with a neat freak and that is why I am not. My OCD went in other directions.

When I really think something has to be done, I seek out a neat freak at the local OCD clinic to come and blitz my house. They love it, do it for free, and their family gets some respite from them.

It's homely then, I like to tidy my workshop then it gets untidy so I think why bother?

I had to laugh because I've often thought the same thing. I prefer to pick up as I go and not let the place get too close to being declared a disaster area. Unfortunately, my teenager has no such preferences and it regularly gets out of hand. Part of me is not looking forward to his being launched into the world, but another part is looking forward to less massive cleaning projects.

Unfortunately I live with a tidy freak, he gets evil if the house gets too bad.... fortunately he earns enough I can pay someone to help fight back the encroaching piles.

Try a hot water bottle on your lower tummy straight after you eat and for about an hour. I used to find that helped, eating seemed to set my IBS off. Can't offer you my cure, hysterectomy! :)

Also After eight mints straight after dinner. Take care of yourself, and stop hugging the ground. People will talk....

Oh Colin! Now I KNOW we are kindred spirits - only I have NO freakin' excuse:)
Luckily my husband is a lot more organized than I am!

Oh, I need an OCD clinic near me! (I actually am a bit of a neat freak, which is something of a problem for me, since I have a husband who works at home, three sons, and a huge, hairy, drooly dog. I vacuum a lot.)

If there's anything to the Frankenstein movies, next time my house gets struck by lightning, I've got an entire litter of puppies to deal with...

But as Mr Crisp said, after the first four years the dust doesn't get any worse!

Tidy? What is tidy? :-)
One of my excuses was, that an advantage of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting 'discoveries'.

What used to tick me off was other people(#1&#2 sons) writing in MY dust.
Don'tcha just hate it when that happens? :-)

I'm with you. I hate to clean. Some people enjoy it, or clean to let off steam. I am not one of those people. Luckily, my husband does most of the cleaning. Ok, all of the cleaning.
