Both sweaters are beautiful. Colin. You are truly and artist with yarn.
About the pool, I get so irked at the way you are treated. It is just appalling, I do not understand one human being treating another that way. My dear man, I wish I were rich, I would build you a lap pool in your back garden so you wouldn't have to deal with any such things again. But, alas I am not rich. Isn't that the way it is? Those of us who would help our friends are the ones without the riches. Well, in my heart I am rich because of being able to see people who aren't the same as me as the wonderful people that they are. I am so very thankful to have been taught that from an early age. Those bullies have to be the most miserable creatures on earth. Phooey, to them. You have many friends who feel blessed to know you.
Hugs dear friend,

Somewhere you said something about being spoken to as if you are stupid because you have a disability. My nephew is blind so people start talking slowly and loudly and with careful pronunciation. He loves to point out to them that because he is blind, it does not mean he has any hearing problems.

It usually embarrasses the speaker quite a bit.

I think this is a very beautiful sweater. Elegant in simplicity.

beautiful sweaters, do you use a wooly or jumper board to block them?

Colin,
I check your blog several times a week to view your wonderful sweaters. You are truly one of the most creative and accomplished knitters I have ever seen!
I have been following your trials and tribulations at the pool with a heavy heart. Good for you for speaking to the authorities, and good for you for continuing to swim even though the other facility is further away!
Thank you for showing that even the most adverse situations can be made to turn out in our favor if we but put our minds to it. You truly have heart, spirit and character, which is much more than I can say for the others who caused so much turmoil.
HUGS!

Oh, wow! I love that yak sweater. I wish I could feel it. The design is gorgeous.

I'm so sorry about your distress over the pool incidents. It's so sad that bullies never do seem to grow up. I'll never understand how anyone can get pleasure from hurting another person.

the sweater that looks like basket weave is gorgeous. so so soft looking.
i like the other one too for the design of the stripe and color but it is that first one that really is stunning.

i am also thrilled that you went to the other pool. it is not that the first pool won, but that you won.
you have given your smiling face to the second pool where it will be appreciated. you have reduced your stress level and for that i think you are the winner.
Go COLIN!!

I was really likin' both of your new sweaters, but I was
really wowed by the Yak fiber (purple shade on my monitor)
I really love the look of that stitch. You always do such a
great job. You give attention to detail and I am such a stickler
about that too.
