Kaffeteire

These were knitted using one of the Landscape colourways (4257) from Regia, designed by Kaffe Fassett. I used one Hiya Hiya 2mm circular needle. I think this is my best sock yet. I really like the 2mm knitting gauge and the fit is excellent. I just knew when I saw this yarn that it would need a 2mm needle. I knit it toe up, increasing from 52 sts to 80 sts. It is 216 rows from cast on to EZ cast off. A simple 4x4 rib and Andersson Heel.

Beautiful socks and the colorway is lovely. My fave colors are turquoises and teals so this particularly appeals to me. I have looked at the Kaffe Fasset yarns before and simply haven't purchased. Now I know I will. Thank you for yet another great example of sock knitting, Colin!

Any chance of a sneak preview of your *other* sock??

2 mm, this is what the skin coloured Regia yarn we got called for, too, and it seemed like forever to get the sock progressing.
Maybe my attention is with too many other things at present.
I will be able to post pictures of it only after I know if it was taken for the contest or not. As long as I am in, it needs to stay unpublished, bummer.
This sock looks great like all I saw from you, I like the striping pattern, and how the ribbing came out.

The sock is great! I just received my order of the same yarn from Astrid's Dutch Obsessions and wondered how it would really look.
BTW, we have the same bday! I think its cool anyway.

Colin,

Your sock is awesome! I have only seen a tiny picture of what this yarn looks like, now that I have seen your sock...I need to buy some for all the guys I knit for!

I also think I am going to give your Anderson Heel a try, it seems to fit your heel very well!

I was rather indifferent to the samples I had seen of the Kaffe Fasset colorways but this one knitted up just lovely. I might have to give the landscape line another look. The sock really turned out nice in the 2mm gauge.

Hi Colin,
Perfect work from your hands as ever.
I have a question for you, who have tried so many different sock yarns - which one do you find keeps best after wear, tear and wash? I mean, which one will still be soft and keep your feet warm and dry?

Colin: is it possible to do the anderson heel as an afterthought heel????????

I love you new socks. I haven't tried any of the Kaffee Fasset yarns. You have inspired me.

Yet another pair of gorgeous socks. I wish I could knit so fast. It can take me 6 to 8 weeks to make a pair. So much yarn, so little time.

I read your blog, & for some reason I was not able to leave a comment. My pc keeps showing half a comment window. How awful these people are to treat you so badly you are reduced to tears. Why are they so confident they will get away with this behavior? Whatever the staff did needs reporting to the management and the council. They will probably lie their way out of the allegations, but at least it will give them an uncomfortable time, and just might make them rethink their behaviour (I know the latter is a long shot) and possibly make them a little more considerate.

We are all rooting for you sweety.
