Gift?

I went to a sanctuary tonight where they give healing. There was
also a raffle in aid of MS.

I bought a ticket.

I won a tea towel-a souvenir from the very small country that my mother was born and raised in.....

Colin, You have been on quite a journey these past few months and although it was a trip you would certainly never have signed up for it seems that your luggage has been getting lighter and lighter in the past few days. I believe that God has been with you on this journey and has sent you many angels to hold you up in your darkest hours and now the gift that you received tonight is truly a sign that your cries have been heard for a loving parental figure in your life. I hope that you continue to heal and find the peace you so long for and deserve. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.....Irene in Wpg...Fullywoolly P.S. Have you ever thought of writing a book about your life....You are a very gifted writer and have a remarkable gift for conveying your emotions.

I am totally amazed by your prize! It does seem there is something at work here, doesn't it?

I agree with Ms. Johnston. I do think you might want to consider writing a book of your life. You have a special gift.

I don't know if you enjoy reading for pleasure. Augusten Burroughs (http://www.augusten.com/) has written several books, one of which is autobiographical. He suffered abuse during his life, as well, and he, too, is gay. His experiences are quite different from yours. I am sure you could be every bit as successful as he is, both in style and content. "Running with Scissors" was also made into a movie.

I know you may well be aware of all of the above. I, as usual, have rambled on too long.

You have such talents, experience and love to share. In some ways, it just seems sad so few of us get to profit from knowing you.

I would so much love to hug you. I do feel that close to you. I wish you could have been my little brother.

Colin,
Is it just one of life's coincidences that you have been thinking of your mother for the past few days, then the tea towel incident? Perhaps, but I think that events happen for a reason, its beyond our understanding.
I hope you are on the road to recovery now, my thoughts are always with you each and every day.

From a pagan perspective (must give equal time), the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest on Samhain, so it should not be too surprising to get a nice, comforting message like you did.

I think that tea towel meant more to you than others think. I'm glad you won it.

I agree with Suna completely that the message you received is not surprising, given the time of year.

This is a fascinating time for you, Colin. I will continue to send prayers and energies your way in the hope they will aid you in your seeking. Thank you again for taking us along with you.

Peaceful blessings,

Terri

Sort of amazing - that tea towel coming when it did and having such a meaning to you.
As the old saying goes - every little bit helps. I think that you are getting better all along now and I am sure it feels as if a heavy burden was lifted.
wishing you peace of mind and body

Hi Colin! Agree with all the others in this circle of friends:) I wonder about something. A very very dear friend of mine once told me that she believes people who have done rather badly in this life go on to another learning experience in the next "lots of classes in the next life" is what she calls it. Perhaps your mother is trying to tell you she's sorry. Perhaps she is growing spiritually in the next life. Given what you've said, and not being privy to the inner workings of anyone's soul, I would guess, as for many of us, she's starting to take a few of those classes. Crazy perhaps, but sometimes the craziest things are the truest.
