HONEST, YOUR HONOUR

Well, Your Honour, they just appeared. Really they did. You see, all of my life, from when I was a boy, I have wanted to emulate my idol, Samantha Stevens. Every day all I have done is practice twitching my nose just like her but until now nothing ever happened. Recently, whenever I have twitched my nose, the postwoman has brought me either a pair of Doc Martens or a pair of Kickers. Okay, so they didn't just materialise like they would for Mrs Stevens, but you have to agree that I am getting there. And that, Your Honour, is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. (Edit: Samantha did twitch her nose so I am not sure what Fred meant in the comments section of this post.)

If I had to pick three they would be the orange and green with the flowers and the ones with the turtles on.

Where do you have room for all those lovely shoes, there must be a whole dressing room full of things to choose from :-)

They are all so cool and this is said by a girl who has five active pairs of shoes for 'I do never wear them up, so why get more?'
practicality hammered into her by a 'frugal' upbringing.

I think it's the zebra or the turtles for me! (Though I like the flowered ones as well.) Have fun!

I have to disillusion you and tell you that all of those hours of youthful energy were spent on a wasted effort but Samantha never wiggles her nose.

I do like the zebra and the flowers even though I'd not wear them still think they're great!

I am sorry to hear about all your struggles with pain. I have fibromyalgia so I understand pain. Do you mind telling me what you suffer from?

Your socks (and shoes) are beautiful. I'm sure you really enjoy them. I have not tried you heel pattern yet but am going to on my next pair. Can't wait. I love the way it looks.

Yeah right!!!
Colin, our's is an honest programme!
I doubt that even Horace Rumpole could " get you off " this one.
I'm just so cross that we're not the same shoe size.
Lots of love
Marilyn xx

Fred said that Samantha didn't wiggle her nose? Is that true? I always thought she did....

I would choose #2, but I'm a fairly basic kind of girl. Once my ship comes in, I plan to indulge in some cute footwear. I've got far too few. 2 pair of boots, black and brown. 2 pair of shoes, black and brown. 2 pair of sandals, black and brown. (get the picture?) And just to spice it up, I have a pair of clogs and a pair of sneakers. I definitely need a shoe make-over. ;^)

Love looking at yours. Will be emulating as soon as possible.

Being of a practical disposition, I am assuming you need so many so they get a mimimum wear each, and therefore will not need polishing because to get shoe polishes to match them all (zebra shoe polish, wonder how that one works!!) is far too expensive and will take up far too much room.
Well, it's as good a theory as anybody's!

Did not realise so many existed....

So that's how all that yarn keeps showing up at my house! I just had an itchy nose--honest!

Samantha DID wiggle her nose. The nose twitching was helped by a small movement of the mouth. It took me years to perfect that move. I think I shall start practicing again. I wonder what the postman will bring me?

Anyone with such gorgeous shoes deserves free representation - so have your trial here in the States, in Merlin and I'm your lawyer:)
BTW, had a case last week I'd love to consult with you on.
Take care,
Joan
