BJORN

I knitted these using Lorna's Lace Shepherd Sock Multi in the Andersonville colourway. I used my own Andersson Method of construction and the Andersson Heel Mach II. The design is built around a yarn over cable first shown to me by my friend Lia in Germany with the instruction for how to do it from Charlene Schurch's Sensastional Socks.
The needles were 2mm size, circular, Knit Pro's and each was knitted on it's own needles, simultaneously. They are 232 rounds long, excluding heel turn. Knitted toe up.
The MACH II heel.

Gosh, I know you described it to me, and I (obviously) like the yo cable, but these are really super! Just a little thing like the p variation in the plain rows! Beautiful socks!

Very, very nice socks. The colors and the textures are so balanced. One adds to the other. Something hard to achieve using the multi colored yarn. Bravo!

Again, your work is so polished! Sigh, I wish you would consider a book:)! It's not just the patterning and your ability to teach designing one's own, but the really really professional way in which you finish your work. Those two things alone should be enough for an excellent book on sock construction. I know there are a number of good ones out there, but I think yours would be the best. Please consider. I know you're busy, and I wish I knew someone who could help you with publication/submission, etc.
Is there anyone out there who does have this information?
Your blog has quite a number of followers. Someone in the UK should know!
Take care,
Joan

Your photography of the pattern is wonderful...as are the socks. You are so talented.

Gorgeous! I like that YO cable, too, and it works wonderfully with the Lorna's Laces. Great colorway--I can see it with several of your boots and trousers for dog shows.

Colin, your knitting is stunningly neat and I'm very impressed with these lovely socks. I thought my latest pair was neater than previous, but seeing these I think I need to try harder next time. I need to learn that heel!

I have been admiring ALL of your socks on the blog, and this is a beauty as well.

Is there a link for your Mach II heel construction and your 'usual' toe? I am mesmerized! I realize practice is the pursuit of perfection.
