The Apso all had to have their undercarriages and legs bathed in warm water though as the snow formed large ice balls in their coats. I had forgotten about that! It soon became obvious when they needed to come in as they stopped playing and started to move strangely.

Isn't it amazing how much dogs like snow? They look cute. Many years ago, I owned a Border Collie, Shepherd mix. I was living in Wyoming the first two years of her life and the snow would be 2 or 3 feet (60 or 90 cm) deep in the yard. She used to gleefully go snow diving - literally. She'd leap into the snow in one place and come up about 2 feet (60 cm) away. There were holes all over the yard!
(I'm practicing metric conversions)
The pictures show how much fun they had.
Brrr for the balls of snow forming on their legs and bellies.
I saw a picture of a big long-haired dog somewhere, which had snow formations as big as baby heads in his fur.
I hope they enjoyed the warm bath as much as the romping around in the snow :-)
Oh, Colin! What beautiful portraits!
I especially love the photo of Millie with the snow on her nose. Such a sweet face!

What wonderfully cute doggies! Makes me want to get a small one. What havoc that would create in my household! :)
OMG lol wonderful..what fun they had.
We had just a few flakes my dogs love it, but it makes them look quite dirty considering they are West Highland Whites lol

I think you enjoyed seeing them in the snow almost as much as they loved being there.
Wonderful photos.
