My new socks, UNITY TLL. Knitted using yarn I bought at Globus near my friends, Lia and Lui in Sandhausen, Germany. It cost €1 a 50 gram ball, about 80 pence or $1.60.
I knit them both at once on Hiya Hiya and Addi 2mm needles. Magic loop but each on it's own needle. It's quicker than both on the same needle. The pattern is a simple knit and purl triangle. I used my own Andersson Heel, Mach 2.
Another long stretch, but hoping to be more regular

I love them, as usual. It's a nice shade of red, if the camera caught it correctly.
Lovely, Colin! I've been thinking about learning to do two socks at once on the same needle, but was thinking it would be faster and better if I stuck with my method of Magic Loop with each sock on its own needle. Simple enough to pack them both in a bag, knit some rows on one first, and switch to the other so they are more or less equal in progress. This proves it! Of course, I might try two at once on one just for the heck of it, to see if I like it. but as of now I don't have a single circ long enough for the project. (They say it should be at least a 40" cable!)
I have been reading your recent posts with great interest. The medium thing sounds fascinating! Yet I can understand how it might seem a mixed blessing at times. I look forward to reading more about it as you get deeper into it.
I must also make it known that I would looooove to come over and righteously kick the arses of those who so disrespect the disabled. May they all be reincarnated as slugs and get salt sprinkled on them.
Have enjoyed the puppy pics, too, especially the snow ones. Too cute!
And now, I owe, I owe, so off to work I go...
As always, gorgeous socks! Tell me about the yarn, though. Is it "sock yarn" or just wool fingering? Superwash? The cost of it makes me very envious!
How many pairs of hand knit socks do you have? John?
I really like the stitch pattern on these Colin! Did you create it, or find it in a stitch dictionary? And the color too, it's gorgeous. I'm so jealous at the price of the yarn!!!
Gorgeous as usual.
Wow - love that color. They look comfy too.
Those socks do look great! Good for you to slow down!

Those are fabulous Colin! I too love the design/pattern...can you share? I also like the plain toe. Looks very professional. Did you make them cuff down or toe up?
