Tarantino

This is my own design, knitted using one 80 cm KnitPicks circular needle, size 2.25mm.

The yarn is Regia Silk in colour 032. The yarn is 55% merino, 25% Nylon and 20% Silk.

I think it has a lovely handle and was easy to knit, which is just as well as this pattern was not so easy!

I knit toe up, used the Andersson Heel, and as in common with all my socks, I had no idea what it would be until the toe was done.

Ab-fab! Just one question - why "Tarantino"? Sorry for being such a dullard but the only film I could think of at the moment was "Kill Bill" and since William is not your name that didn't work. At any rate, you did a beautiful job on the sock. Congrats. Robby

Very nice! I just used your Andersson heel for the first time myself. I was suprised at how it looked on the needle, but the fit is quite nice.

I love these socks! I just discovered the fun of doing cuffs with the toe-up sock (I should explain I hate doing cuffs top-down...too much fiddling with the needles & all). I really appreciate the closeup shots too--I am planning on "designing" my first pair and was wondering how the pattern would work around the gusset/instep area--thank you sooo much for clarifying it for me :-)

Hi - VERY nice socks - I hope we see a pattern. I am curious about the name - Tanrantino? Can you share what it is about? I have several possible associations for Tarantino but none for Tanrantino. Thanks! kabira501 at yahoo dot com

Beautiful socks, Colin! I wish my socks looked as nice as yours! The yarn is always prettier in someone else's knitting bag!

those are absolutely beautiful - and it was lovely to get a good review
of Regia silk - I've just got some :)

what a gorgeous pattern.....you're a very talented man. Lovely shade,
too.....a nice rich plummy magenta; isn't it good to work with pretty
colours?

Right, I'm off to assemble the makings for my Regia silk socks.....

I made something a bit like this a while ago and I have to admit I did not like to purl that much (my purl stitches are a bit loose).

Yours look lovely, especially in that warm red. I love Regia Silk.

Collin, the socks are really pretty and thankyou so much for posting instructions for the heel. I usually turn any toe up sock into a cuff down pattern because I don't like short row heels, but his one is easy and attractive and will fit nicely. Thankyou. Your instruction are really clear and understandable

Really great pattern. Will it be available? I'd love to knit them.

Colin, Beautiful sock as always. I have yet to try
the toe up sock because I have found my comfort zone
with the cuff down sock. But, I will some day!

Wow Colin, I'm just speechless. I think I want to try the heel next sock I knit. It just looks incredibly neat. Take care and give all the pups a big kiss for me.
