What a nice colorway, I don't think I have seen it before. The socks look nice!
The sock looks really good! I love the colours in there, and your heel is wonderfully done. :)
Found you on the socknitters yahoo list Colin, and that is a GORGEOUS sock! :) Lisa in Oregon

Wonderful heel ! I hope that one day I will be able to do something like this.
Those socks are gorgeous! Gold star to ya!
thanks for the photo. I have that yarn on order and it is nice to see that it knits into such a nice sock
The sock is beautiful. It works so well with the yarn. So often when patterned yarns are combined with pattern stitches, it hurts the eyes.
I am totally envious of your heel. Short row heels are not my friend.
Very nice! I'm glad they're working up better than the Bee was. I really like the heel you used and went back to find the instructions for it. I just started a sock for my aunt and used a short row heel but I'm not incredibly in love with it. Yours looks so much neater and sounds a lot easier too. Will be trying it on my next pair for sure.
Great sock, Colin! I like it a lot!
Good job on the quitting smoking too! Hang in there.....sheila e-m in CO
Wonderful socks! Do you have a link to your adaptation of the Sherman heel? I would love to give it a try.
I have dachshunds, too! : )
Love the socks! They are gorgeous. I have never done a Sherman heel. I think I'll look that up to see how it's done. Colin, you lead such an interesting life. I learn something new every time I read your blog. I think you are a great person, talented and strong. For you to accomplish all the things you do with the health issues with which you deal is admirable.

Nice colour! And I very much like the way the sherman heel fits. I should stop being lazy and find out how to make it, instead of just knitting away the pattern's heel.
I like these colours Colin. I have a pair in smoke but in darker
shades and they are my favourites.
