Why do people fall asleep in front of the tv and deny it?
'Why don't you go to bed?'
'I'm watching this'
'But you have been snoring for the last half hour'
'No I have not, I was watching this'
'Thru closed eyes?'
'I was listening and resting my eyes'
Oh brother!
So leave them snoring and go to bed.
A little while later you hear:
'Why didn't you wake me?'
'Because you were really engrossed in that film....'
Such is life.
Another long stretch, but hoping to be more regular

I never fall asleep in front of the TV. I am one of those who irrate those who do. My usual line is "Are you sleeping?" when they doze off. The answer is alway no I'm just listening. Yeah right!
Hoot!
Personnally I think it is a guy thing. Or a non-knitter thing. My DH does this, I don't, nor do I fall asleep in front of the computer.
But then, I am not watching TV, I am knitting.
Okay, I'm guilty of falling asleep in front of the tv, and thinking I just dosed off when I've been asleep for quite some time. However, I am female, and a knitter...
I appreciate your comments. I hadn't checked your blog in a while, but all those posts on THAT LIST meant I had to see what the commotion was about.
In dealing with legal issues for a living, I think what you are doing does help others understand it better.
Most knitters that I have seen blog don't just blog about knitting because there are other things that go on in their lives as well. I also agree that if someone is just wanting to see a sock then that is their own problem, but you put it better than I did. If I want to just see a picture on someone's blog, I can use my intelligence and scroll for a picture or post about it and would expect others to do the same on my not as well written blog.
I wasn't aware that there was a prejudice by some hand knitters against machine knitters, but I've seen some very generous machine knitters doing legs for Socks for Soldiers. They donate as much time and probably more yarn and money than some handknitters (myself - not speaking for others) do.
Thanks for bringing all these issues to my attention.
I don't know why it irritates me so much when my dh falls asleep with the tv on. I am always telling him to go to bed. Ugh! I can't stand to have him sitting there asleep while I'm trying to watch tv and knit. I want to throw pillows at him.
It's a good thing this is one of his biggest flaws. I don't have too much else to complain about.
