Just got back from the Doc armed with my drugs and new one called Naproxen which N.I.C.E. have decided is more effective and safer than Ibuprofen or Diclofenac. I will soon find out how they do for me. Not a long term drug but to deal with inflammatory flares.
Am off to get ready for tomorrows show now. Running late as was in the surgery over 2 hours!
Another long stretch, but hoping to be more regular

you are an enabler.... you said the words cashmere silk and I looked and it was pink... and dammit!
Be careful on your tummy. Naproxen can hurt it if you take it on an empty stomach. Your doc probably told you that, but it never hurts!
I've had RA for 10+ years and I LOVE Naproxen for flares. Take with food! Take only when needed to maximize affectiveness. It kicks in about 45min after taking. I do wish you well with it!
Naproxen sodium does help my pain some, but as BKT said, it can be hell on an empty stomach! Eat first. It's also better than ibuprofen for your liver too. And for me, for some reason, it makes me incredibly sleepy. Most folks don't react that way. Just keep a "look-out" in case it hits you like that too. Hope it helps.
Blaine swears by Naproxen. But I prefer plain old aspirin. But both are good anti-inflammatories.
