Deep Forest

Just to prove I wasn't in my PJ's.
The yarn is Opal Hand Painted Sommernachtstraum no 4. I used 2mm Hiya Hiya circular needle, knitted both at once. This is my best recipe yet, I think. I again used a different version of the Andersson Heel. I like this one. I like the fit of the whole sock. it is 110 rows till heel turn and 130 rows after heel turn. Aprrox 10.5sts and 14 rows to the inch. or 42 sts and 56 rows to 10cm.(4 inches)

Ohhhh, I love that yarn. I'm starting a new pair of socks today, but they're top down. I love the fact that you name your socks and, as so often in the past, I'm copying you and naming mine. You're still my inspiration.

I really like the colors in that hand painted Opal yarn. Just lovely! One of these days I am going to try out your Andersson Heel method. I previously downloaded the instructions. Now I just need to get busy.

Those are beautiful! I still haven't found my "perfect recipe," it's wonderful that you've found yours. Great job!

like the socks. They look great. And the colors are spectacular. Did you create the pattern? Is it available? Trying to come up with a pair for my husband - have yarn and tried 3 patterns so far and haven't liked any of them. But yours look fantastic!

Now that's a fine pair of socks. I'm still in search of the perfect sock recipe. What I enjoy, however is trying as many patterns as I can from reputable designers as there is often a little tip in their that takes me just a bit closer.

But the journey is as rewarding as the destination don't you think?

Beautiful socks, especially the heel. Nothing out of proportion, no holes, just lovely (not like mine). I hope you will share with us soon how it is done. You have such a talent!

And all those good looking dogs too!

Nice socks, I have yet to make sock using the Anderson Heel, it looks similar to short rows.
