Garter Rib For That Dull Man in Your Life

If your man is anything like my John, who has conservative taste in clothing, this would be considered daring but wearable.

The yarn is Italian. 50% Merino, 25% Cashmere and 25% silk. 2/15 weight used double.

This approximates to 375m per 100gm. This could easily be knitted by hand, using approximately 3mm needles.

It was knitted using the Brother Garter Carriage on tension 10, on a Brother 940. The gauge was 27sts and 46 rows to 10cm AFTER washing and tumble drying. The completed seater was washed and tumble dried. From now on it will be machine washed on a 30c delicate cycle and dried flat.

I would love it myself; do I qualify now for the ultimate dull woman?

The color is gorgeous. Great job even if a tad conservative.

Hi Colin, very nice blog, and very nice jumper. Unfortunately I have no GK and no possibilities to install one on a Siver Reed. I like the colours and the shape.

Nice manly sweater. Well done.

Colin, I think it's beautiful! It's conservative enough, but still pleases the color and texture person.

Hi, Colin,
I love all your sweaters, the finish on them is fabulous! What do you
do with them all? Either John and you are the best dressed fellas
around, or you give them away or sell them?

That's one beautiful sweater Colin. I like it a lot. Love your
latest socks as well and as always love the pup pics.

Hi Colin,

Dull? Not at all, classy and sober!
And what a professional finish! Just look at how the ribs in the collar
match those in the body!

Love your garter stitch sweater. Do you make your sweaters and sell them? Or just give them to friends? You do have a lovely talent for designing, it seems.
