Quiz time

You Are An INFP

The Idealist

You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.
Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.
It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close.
But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

In love, you tend to have high (and often unrealistic) standards.
You are very sensitive. You tend to have intense feelings.

At work, you need to do something that expresses your personal values.
You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.

How you see yourself: Unselfish, empathetic, and spiritual

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Unrealistic, naive, and weak
Below is my partner of 26 years, John.

You Are An INTP

The Thinker

You are analytical and logical - and on a quest to learn everything you can.
Smart and complex, you always love a new intellectual challenge.
Your biggest pet peeve is people who slow you down with trivial chit chat.
A quiet maverick, you tend to ignore rules and authority whenever you feel like it.

In love, you are an easy person to fall for. But not an easy person to stay in love with.
Although you are quite flexible, you often come off as aloof or argumentative.

At work, you are both a logical and creative thinker. You are great at solving problems.
You would make an excellent mathematician, programmer, or professor.

How you see yourself: Creative, fair, and tough-minded

When other people don't get you, they see you as: arrogant, cold, and robotic

Hi! I am so sorry for your friends. It is so hard for the partner....my sister-in-law is so very sad. We are getting through, but I think it is mostly denial on my part right now. I suppose it is a defense mechanism. Please send your friend my thoughts...and do call them constantly!!! They will need it for a while. There is absolutely nothing ore precious during this time than friends that call just to check on you. It is a comfort.

I could have told you that you were an INFP without a quiz, just from your writing.

Thanks for the quiz link, Colin. I took it and turned out to be a Thinker. Which is annoying because I want to be an artist!
I love your blog & hope you will keep writing about whatever subjects you feel passionate about. I for one will keep reading.
Thanks!

I've long been a fan of Meyers-Briggs. I have two boys. One is an INFJ. The other is an ESTP. I think the universe is laughing at me.
