I love the colour of both pairs of socks. I bet you are glad you didn't knit them in plain navy or black now? Sock buddies LOL

Ya-a-a-ay Colin. John's socks are the epitome of a well crafted
garment, and understated elegance. Wow, the wild and crazy colour! Good
for John, stepping out of his box. Oh, and your new socks are great,
too, I really do like funky socks to wear myself.

Great socks Colin. Wonderful knitting job and perfect fit.

I am a new sock knitter and promised a pair to my Dentist. I chose the same color yarn as the your blue pair in your blog pic. It is Trekking.

Dr. wears wears a 43 English loafer. Tell me, in US terms, is that around a size US 10?

I hope you two have another 26 years together. Congratulations.
Anything special planned for the celebration?

Dear Colin (and John)
Happy Aniversary! My grandmother would say, "Who says modern marriages don't last!!" My John and I have been married for 33 years now and I wouldn't change a thing. I wish you many, many more happy years together.
BTW, regarding hip pain - I find that when my pillow is too high it increases the pressure (and pain) on my hips. I also have a memory foam mattress and find it helps but does not eliminate the pain. Also, don't be afraid to baby your hips - especially while exercising. I found that strenthening the muscles (gently) helps a lot. But, walking too quickly or vigorously hurts and sets me back. All the best, Denise (Ilse's Granny)

Hi Colin,
Love both socks, your's and John's. Like the idea of the ribbing
stopping a little before the heel. Beautiful work, thanks for sharing.

Those are two stunning pairs of socks1 Glad you found a happy (neutral) medium for John's socks. They show your lovely even knitting off to a T! I am a color person myself, so I think your socks are even more smashing. Well done!
