EXPRESSION

One of my first dyeing attempts. I did each 50 gm hank slightly differently but I cannot recall what the difference was! I do know that I only painted one side, leaving the other undyed. I didn't expect to get striping. I love the pooling on the instep caused by the gusset increases.

I love the pooling at the instep! I was wondering how on earth you managed to get that in the right place while you were dyeing, when I read that it pooled because of the gusset increases. :o) Beautiful socks!!

Merry Christmas Colin & John.
Very smart socks. Intriguing idea only dyeing one side of the hank I must try that. Take care,

Colin, when you start selling those yarns put me on your list. You are an inspiration. I will never be able to knit as fast as you seem to. I will be starting my 4th pair of socks tomorrow but my first using your system. Hopefully that will help me with a better fit. Keep on giving us beautifuyl things to look at...

Well done.

Beautiful! I'm not so fond of the pooling myself, so I'm glad you are and it worked perfectly for you. The striping is amazing!

I love the pooling too! Notes, Colin! Take notes so you can teach us how to do it!!

Merry Christmas! Thanks for the good wishes. Headache's better, so I need to go exercise if I hope to maintain the weight loss. Pecan pie for breakfast does not help.

Love the socks. I need to make more myself.

Hope you had a good time at Christmas.
Love your socks and wish I could dye my own sock yarn much more better than I could. That looks really great. Thank you for charing them with us.

Have a good day

I just fell upon your blog and love it! I am a fairly new knitter and cannot wrap my brain on how to knit socks! I took a class and I kept telling the instructor that my yarn was going to fall off one of my 3 needles. "Impossible" she said. You guessed it....my yarn fell off the needles. I admire your work and look forward to reading your blog!
