Hi Colin, Love the moss rib sweater, well, all of them but that one's my fave. Your recent posts reminded me of this by e.e.cummings "To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing it's best, night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting" I may love sheep .... but I don't want to f$£%^n be one either!!!
Take care, Sal

Lovely work, Colin. I found your blog via the Aran yahoo group I think. I've read many of your last few posts, and I rarely read such heartfelt, cut-to-the-core-of-things blogs. (Certainly not my own) I'm fascinated and charmed. Your stash ruminations put me in mind of Franklin's stash essay on Knitcast by Brenda Daynes -- you should listen if you don't already, you might enjoy it. Good wishes for good health and I'll be back (if only to read about all the "knit list harpies"! What fun...those things are such a spectator sport.)

Hi Colin

What stunning craftsmanship. No... let me re-phrase that ... stunning artistry. Oh I dream of someday doing something which approximates this beautiful work. I linked here through my knitting machine yahoo group. WOW! I'm glad I followed the link. Such inspiration!

Colin, you do wonderful work, and I do not mean just your beautiful sweaters.

Not having been abused and not having a disability, I am not qualified to comment on your non-knitting posts, but I will anyway--you are not the only "self-opinionated" one around here! I hope that your posts about childhood abuse find their way into the hands of abused children; all kids to some degree feel that they are the only one (with zits/spots, with feelings of lonliness or inadequacy, with misunderstandings with friends or family, the only one who feels inadequate,...), but, for most kids, those feelings subside with time. The feelings left by an abusive childhood never go away, but perhaps seeing such brave posts by an adult survivor would show a child that it is not his fault.

Enough. On to something I do have experience with: knitting. The craftsmanship on your sweaters is extraordinary. My collars and neckbands never lie as flat and tidy as yours do--I'm so envious of your talent!

Well know I know why you haven't been seen or heard from on the Apso list.... to busy knitting. Your sweaters are just breath-takingly beautiful. The details on the collars are wonderful. With all that stash you better keep knitting ....

Colin, Your work is just so beautiful! Would you ever consider sharing how you do your sweaters? Such as...your collars are just perfect. Is there a formula/technique you use to achieve this? Also, how do you to the moss stitch rib? It's beautiful! Kate/Massachusetts
