Lambswool Boucle

This is a beautiful yarn. Very soft, wonderful texture. Bugger to knit with. Not quite true. Fairly easy to knit but picking up stitches not so easy cos of not being able to see the stitches well. Sewing was the same. I could not finish in my usual way, invisible seems, because I could not see! So it was sewn together using backstich.

I had some of this yarn a few years ago, only enough for a a couple of garments and I sold those. I then found I couldn't get anymore! Then a few weeks ago, I found a job lot of it very cheap so snapped it up.

80% lambswool, 20% Nylon. Machine washable and tumble dryable. No shrinking.

Look fab and very cosy! You have chosen an easy maintable yarn and over come the unsuspected hurdles...
I know what you mean with problems due to "hard to see". I have the same issue now with black alpaca. Though it is not boucle...my eye sight gets poor from time to time.

Great Job! Your handfinishing is wonderful. I appreciate your comments about not being able to see your knitting -- I have the same problem.

Well, it turned out to have invisible seams anyway becasue of the way the yarn is.
I can normally see but the nature of this yarn is that the sts are not visible, just bobbles and it is that which make sit very hard to see the sts.

It's beautiful, what type of machine are you using?
I have a brother 260 and an old knitking both manual. The old knitking is 4.5 and the brother is bulky.
You do beautiful work.

A beautiful sweater! I wish I convince my husband to wear something like that.
