Kim asked what camera I use: Sony Alpha A200 DSLR. No touching up, just some cropping.

These are so beautiful. It always amazes me that, to you, traveling to these wonderful and, to me, exotic places is no different than driving around the eastern United States to me. Wow! And "old" here is about 17th Century.
Some of the places we see, Iris are more than 1000 years old. Dresden, although it looks old, was in fact rebuilt to make it look the way it was prior to World War II. They did a very good job.Amazingly so.
That ceiling is really arresting. I love the vibrant colors. All the pictures are gorgeous!
Colin, you're photos are amazing. Do you touch them up at all? If not, what camera do you use?
Hi Colin! In my third year of college (back around the time of Henry VIII), I studied for a semester at the University in Mainz. It was 1975 and the "Dom" or Cathedral, was celebrating its Tausend Jahr Fest. My little Amurikan mind couldn't wrap itself around one end of the Cathedral dating from the year 775!
I was wondering how Dresden looked so good. They got a hell of a pounding from the Allies at the end of WWII. Glad they rebuilt.
Hope all is well with you and John!
