This is my first attempt at a Norwegian style sweater. I did it on the machine(Brother 940).The yarn is 50 % Merino, 30% Cashmere and 20% Silk.
It hasn't worked out quite as I had in mind. The hems are in doublejaquard, with EON in work on ribber. Although knitted much lower in tenison MB6 and RB 3, than the main part which is Tension 10 single bed, the hem is wider than the body and therefore doesn't hang correctly. I don't know why so will have to fiddle. I know it can be done because I have seen sweaters with such hems. I am pleased with the neck band though which is SB Fairisle with a st st backing.

I love the placement of the colors (nice red touches)and designs and think the neckband is very elegant. Is that a dropped sleeve or your modified set-in sleeve? I hope you can work out the hem. Merry Christams!

Very nice pattern. I had a brother knitting machine some time ago. Did a little knitting on it, christmas stockings, a ruana (ruanna?) but no sweaters. I dont knit colors by hand as I dont like changing yarn colors often like that, haha, I'm lazy :P. *bows to his skill on the knitting machine*. It looks really soft and I imagine it is with the merino and cashmere. Well, Merry Christmas and Hope you have a wonderful New Year.

that the hem was wider than the body. It looks beautiful.
I would call the sweater a success, even if the bottom hem is too large. It looks absolutely great and your necklines are always done so well. Would pulling the bottom hem area lengthwise and steaming and then letting it dry help?
It may have gotten stretched somehow.

nothing more irritating than something not being *quite* right when everything else is great...
