This is my own design knitted on 3.75mm needles using Berlaine by Bergere de France. It is a machine washable worsted weight yarn, 90m to 50g or 98yds to 1.75ozs.
I almost gave up with it. It has taken me ages to knit but only because I have not been able to devote much time to it. I have already started the first sleeve. It will have set in sleeves when completed.
I am especially pleased with this collar. Knitted in the round using 3mm needles and 2.75 for the st st roll.

As always it's a well thought out design executed with skill.
That looks really beautiful! Cant wait to see the finished project. :) I know using 3.75mm can sometimes seem like forever when knitting a complicated sweater like yours. Great job so far though. :)
Great looking sweater, but man o man are those pups adorable. Cyndi
Colin--
That sweater is absolutely gorgeous!!! You are so very talented...thanks so much for sharing with us. I always look forward to your postings. The puppies are darling..boy2 and girl 1 look like twins.

Wow. I'm not surprised it's taken you a long time - but it's gorgeous. I don't have the patience for complicated patterns any more.
Oh, and the pups are pretty cute too!
Hi, this sweater is exactly what I love to knit!! Please don't give up, I'd like to see it finished!! Berlaine is one of my favorite yarn!
Happy knitting, Sylvie(French knitter).
Colin, the sweater is absolutely gorgeous! I have done an Aran sweater is ages so after Christmas I think I should treat myself. Oh the sunset is beautiful and those puppies are just adorable. I've bookmarked your blog so I can read more about you and your knitting.
Colin,
You have reason to be especially proud of that sweater and the collar. Is
it something you devised or was it in a pattern or book? It really makes
for a striking neckline.
Of course, your pups are gorgeous, as you already know. They are a real
reason to keep going, aren't they?
Collin
You out did yourself on this sweater.
I just love all that is going on in this sweater. The collar especially
looks great . I love the Celtic knot looking cables you did on the side
front . This is one beautiful sweater. Please post link when finished with
the sleeves.
Gorgeous sweaters!! I love the pink looks chic and elegant and a pearl
necklace would make an elegant statement.
Those puppies are way too cute.
Wow, nice job. I love arans, I love textured knitting
That is gorgeous, Colin. !!!! you are amazing
Great job. I especially loved the collar.

Hi Colin,
The Aran is lovely, especially the collar, I will have to study
that very carefully.
You have almost tempted me to take up the 2 sticks, or 1 if circ.and some
"String"again.
BTW. sunset is beautiful.
I just took a look at your work and you have some beautiful pieces up! I love the aran sweater you are working on - gorgeous. I can't imagine working a sweater that size on 3.25 needles
Chic sooooooo chic !!! And the puppies .....
Off to dig my Bergere de France catalogue from under that huge pile and check that wool again ,
Danièle
