My entire fam...Don't feel bad about the wasted day. My entire family is like that after a long trip- everyone sleeps till noon , eats, then naps until supper. It's perfectly natural to be useless after driving/riding in a cramped position for several hours, experiencing adrenaline rushes and exercise for a few hours, then cramping up in a car for another long trip. Your physical reaction is exactly what non-superhumans feel after such activity.
