I use visquene (sp?) You then lay out lots of layers of wool tops , wetting and turning in as you go and then felt till the template is held really tight by the shrinking fibres. Then cut the wool around the midline before shrinking further. I have lasts in most child/adult sizes (with a template for each pair) so then I slip each slipper onto a last and further felt it down in size till it fits. They then have an extra sole added either in felt or suede. They can be cut low as ballet type slippers or higher like a boot . They look lovely in natural colours too.
Sal x
p.s. what is the "done thing" on blogs, do I answer your question on my blog or yours? ;-)sal the spiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07932662431580429014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14603206.post-1140644971966204802006-02-22T21:49:00.000+00:002006-02-22T21:49:00.000+00:00Colin,What can I say - Wow that is sure a lot of y...Colin,

What can I say - Wow that is sure a lot of yarn! My stash has been hidden for plenty nine years and only I got to see it. Now I decided I might use it faster if I get to look at it every day. I took over the guest room with my stash. Now if I have a guest they come out in the morning and make very strange comments about all that yarn.....and I ignore it all. Happy Stash to you!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14603206.post-1140560631381254182006-02-21T22:23:00.000+00:002006-02-21T22:23:00.000+00:00Thankyou.
